Do you think your own organization will benefit much from Knowledge Management?...
Well Yes ofcourse! Knowledge Management enables the organization to have more access to particular information that could help them finish their task and to create a better quality output. It also efficiently utilizes knowledge of every person in an organization–to help them grow, to learn things, and to excel in their respective roles.
Biggest barriers in implementing KM in your respective organizations..
For our organization the biggest barrier would be failure to quality-control, since everyone already know of what the organization offers to the public and how to market a certain product, they may fail to control information being shared to the public and forget about confidentiality. In our organization it is evident that we focus on our own job description and at times vigilant about the other products being offered. To gain the trust of the public/consumers/clients we must share information uniformly to avoid confusion and misunderstanding. Barriers must be broken to see the full potential of each employee.
"Knowledge is power but knowledge sharing is empowerment"...
Knowledge sharing enables organizations to give everyone their own voice in certain matters. It enables employees to take part in a meeting that concerns the organization. It is essential for an organization to be able to establish an environment wherein employees could share their ideas freely. Each and everyone of us has our own skills and expertise, which is basically different from others. It is important that employers be able to make their employees participate in their discussions. As the old saying goes, two heads are better than one. When people work together, it will be easier to solve a problem and to be able to come up with new and better plans. Knowledge sharing makes everyone feel that they belong. It makes everyone feel that they have control over things that could affect them in the future.

Every organization needs an enhanced IT security that could block unauthorized access to systems being used, networks that connects all the confidential information and even to protect against viruses or possible hackers. A cost efficient way to maintain the integrity is to Outsource their IT Security. Instead of hiring a bunch of employees to be trained and be paid why not invest to a reliable and competent service providers (Manage Security Service Providers).
These are the possible issues that may arise when IT security will be turnover to MSSPs:
1. Trust issues - not all are confident enough to share information thus properly identifying the information needed to be turnover.
2. Reliability - if how effective could their system be, if this could be helpful or may cause possible malfunction or information leakage.
3. Accessibility and Support - since they are considered Third party, turn around time (TAT) are strictly followed. Emergency issues may not urgently address as we should alsoconsider that they cater other organizations.
To address these issues, organization must communicate well and maintain a good relationship with your MSSP. Properly document information relayed or shared to your third party service providers. We may opt with Black and White process for us to properly monitor. If there are systems they will offer, it must undergo test to assess the reliability of its usage.

Have you ever heard about making Plan A which is the first option to reach a certain goal? And then if uncertain things may occur you opt to Plan B? In short making contingency plans for your project to work or your company to last in the industry.
Risk is everywhere in the corporate world. To succeed we have to take risk. To learn we have to overcome the risk. To survive we have to analyze the risk.
The 2012 Justice League Movie Doom, portrays how important foreseeing risk and how to make an effective contingency plan. In here Batman hides his own contingency plan to the whole Justice League team, this is to prepare in case heroes will take advantage of their power in a bad way which in fact contains all their weaknesses and strengths. Data was stolen to come up with a plan to exterminate the Justice League and eventually with all this chaos Batman arose with another plan but with security features to protect those sensitive data/information.
So the question goes...How would I respond to team members who do not put value on risk management?
Just like Batman I would:
Explain Why Risk Management is important - like conducting morning huddles , weekly meeting updates, making monitoring reports that would enable us to address risk issues.
Seek for suggestions and feedbacks from your team
Lay down all possible scenarios so that they will soon realize that loopholes in work are just around. We wouldn't even know when it would appear so be prepared enough.
Assign a role to each member/staff to perform when a certain situation arises.
Acknowledge their efforts in attending and participating in the meeting
Give rewards and appreciation for once in a while.
As what people usually says "Expect the Unexpected" when a certain issue arises as manager you must perform your role, lead your members eventually they will follow your path as long as it is for the betterment of the company.
Well Life is an unending battle, and we just can't quit 😙

When I was young, I used to watch my cousin fixed his computer, connect computer wires, draw on paint, edit photos on Photoshop, download music and movies, debugged and delete virus, transfer files, change file types, do his homework on various Microsoft Offices and even hearing those angry stomps of his fingers on the keyboard. The little kid I was with a curious mind wanted to duplicate what he is working on. Having an extra computer beside him with a huge computer chair sits a little girl doing her artwork on paint (That girl is me) and sometimes plays Hangaroo. Nostalgic as it is, but I can still clearly remember how fascinated I was with the IT World. With my curiosity and the love for arts, it triggers me to slowly learn what he is doing.
Way back in high school during my last two years (3rd & 4th year) I decided to choose my shop major as Computer. We were able to tackle basic programming, advance Microsoft, Adobe Programs and basic Website encoding. I was even given a chance to be the President for the Computer Club where I was exposed to troubleshooting and maintaining our ICT lab. Even now at my workplace I applied this skill in scenarios like connectivity of printers to your pc or mapping networks from one pc to another. Through this I have realized how easy and convenient life is with different technological improvements.
As we all know IT World provides not only convenience to the society but even livelihood to those who are well equipped with different apps, programs and offices they offer. For instance, I was able to make a sideline out of editing videos, making lay-outs for tarps, invitations and presentations. See how this could help us earn while learning and enhancing our undiscovered skills.
Social Media is one of the greatest contributions of IT since nowadays face to face meetings are somehow prohibited, the invention of different applications where everyone can meet, helps strengthen the connection and bond of friends, workmates and families. Even now it can be a platform on finding love and romance.
There’s this one movie I recently watched on Netflix “AI Love you” in there you can maybe visualize what the future can be, as AIs work hand in hand on your daily routines. I suggest you watch it if you have time. It's a fun and cute movie.
Whatever changes and innovation we are experiencing right now, we have to adopt and embrace it.
I.T.’s now or never guys 👊💓
